A Message from our Principal
We hope that you enjoy checking in on life at Our Lady’s BNS. Our Lady’s BNS has been part of the Ballinteer community since 1969, five decades of education and community involvement. We are a very happy, welcoming and inclusive school. Our staff and pupils focus on the 3 Rs:
Being Ready to Learn,
Being Respectful to all members of our school community
Making Responsible choices.
Working with our boys as they progress from Junior Infants right through to 6th class is both an honour and a pleasure and we hope that they leave us as capable, confident and happy young men.

Our Lady's Boys' National School, Ballinteer
Our Lady’s Boys’ School is situated in a place of great beauty, nestling at the foot of the Dublin Mountains and in close proximity to Marlay Park. The school was established in 1969 and since then has been serving the community of Ballinteer.
The school currently has an enrolment of 251 boys, cared for by 16 teaching staff and 9 special needs assistants. The school also has a full-time school secretary.
We also have two classes which cater for children on the Autistic Spectrum. The school has a long history of inclusiveness having one of Dublin’s longest established ASD classes which was opened in 1999.
All of the boys are encouraged to work together and support each other and we find that the close relationship between the boys with special educational needs and those without leads to a very empathetic and caring school community.
